As you know we'll be showcasing a few VTubers here. Japanese virtual YouTuber who goes by the name Mearu Naito is looking for Westerners to come and interact with her on her YouTube channel. Which is quite rare, as Japanese don't usually like interacting with Westerners who don't speak Japanese, it is a known fact. She tells people that she quit being a VTuber in February, however a lot of fans wrote about her on Reddit and she ended up with 9.99K subscribers. Because of her subscriber count, she decided that she gained the will and courage to return to VTubing on YouTube and will be having a comeback stream on the 4th of April, 1:00 PM Japan time.
On her channel she sings songs, plays games and does food reports. In her stream she says everyone says "Otu-Mearun" at the end which is a combination of her name and the Japanese word "Otsukaresama" a word that can be used in many contexts. Her Twitter account is Night Mare Ru.
As you can see she doesn't mind singing a little karaoke. Her VTube character design is adorable and cute, and has a magical girl appeal to it.
One thing she seems to excel at is creating her own custom original songs and singing them. However as most anime girls, it would seem she is able to change the tone of her voice. As in one video her voice was very deep, but in another very girly and pitched to the top. We hope she gets that huge following that she really deserves. It seems that she has worked really hard to promote herself. The only thing that stands in her way is not speaking English. But it would seem that Mearu Naito is currently studying English and she hopes that one day she will be able to speak and understand English.
