Today we're going to cover the Nora Cat controversy. Nora Cat which translates as Wild Cat is one of the early VTubers to become a sensation on social media as of 2018. However at one point there was a technical glitch and it revealed that Nora Cat was a middle age man considered to be an Otaku.
The character debut in a virtual computer game titled VR Chat. The model for Nora Cat seems to have been created by Nagatoro Koyori. The Koyori Channel seems to be in sync with Nora Cat. Only Koyori seems to actually be voiced by an actual woman unlike Nora Cat.
When it comes to VR type characters they are trying to actually promote their creations. So they are playing the characters rather than being the character. Virtual characters are "you" but also another entity. We explain this here because half of the people hidden behind those characters, look nothing like what they are trying to fool the public with. And that is acceptable because nobody can look like fictional characters that do not exist.
As said anime is based on Japanese people. However they typically use Caucasians to model the anime characters. So even if a Japanese character in an anime series has small slanted eyes, he or she may have strong European features which also include the Caucasian skin color.
Japanese people have a dark and light skin tone. However it is not pink as they paint their anime characters. According to an old "How to Draw Manga" book when Japanese artists draw Europeans or Caucasians, they make the faces very pointy. Though this chart here will show you how much Japanese artists really take from Caucasians when it comes to creating anime characters.
And that is why people who are not Japanese As a Blasian I can tell you that Black people are depicted badly in anime and are considered the lowest of the low when it comes to looks. They mainly would rather go for a stereotypical look something from a Minstrel show.
Japanese people and many people who do not speak English, or different races of people are often secluded and don't really get on well with others. Japanese people are similar to Chinese people, they do not really like Westerners. Japanese people do not mind interacting but they would generally class Westerners as "foreign" or "foreigners" and have a hard time learning or speaking English which is vice versa when it comes to learning another language.
Today anime is no longer Japanese exclusive. Westerners who try to merge anime with Japanese culture are often considered to be Weeaboos.
A lot of Koreans and Chinese like to call people Weeaboos. But matter of the fact is, most anime originates from Japan not China or Korea or any other parts of Asia. They often import anime, and often have their own animation series which is similar to anime but not as interesting as Japanese anime.
A majority of Japanese anime is dubbed worldwide and can be watched in China and Korea.
A self-professed homosexual by the name of Nux Taku, a possible VTuber??? And or Jew who cites himself as the worst YouTuber in the world comes to mind. He uses some kind of "screaming" and or "shouting" New Yorker-type accent in his videos. His videos are basically just him screaming to the top of his lungs. If you are wearing earphones you are in for a ride of your life. This man can wail like a dog. Well long story short he covered most of the controversies concerning VTubers in 2020. Something we explained in a previous post.
He also explains about the "DMCA" of VTubers and how people can easily take control of your VTube model if they created it. According to Nux, the VTubers are popular on Twitch.
Drama in the VTube world revolves around doxxing in their communities. Doxxing is a considered a crime, but people often ignore and doxx people on social media. When it comes to people hiding behind avatars, doxxing them will possibly be very popular.
As explained people are going to want to know who is behind these avatars. For example a lot of your favorite VTubers could possibly be rapists or murderers or criminals.
When half of the criminals hiding behind VTubers are exposed in due time obviously in the VTube world it will be a big story. Because hiding behind a virtual character or avatar is the perfect mask. People will obviously be urged to watch the "weird" VTubers very carefully.
Weird as in you will notice something is wrong by what these individuals say. So keep a look out for them. Some of them are clearly up to no good.
So when they get exposed sometimes it is a good thing depending on their actions. But most VTubers are in it for the money. They are not VTubing for fun. It is all about the money.
Hopefully no VTubers will take advantage of anyone. We also mean sexually. If you are a upcoming VTuber and you have came across this post listen to this advice.
Don't do it! You will pay! You will be caught!

As they explained Moroccan-Canadian YouTuber Pokimane and other people who are notable for not doing much also wanted in on the VTube trend. Pokimane is a social media star of some sort who is known to be very sexual online. When people reference her they say "sex sells" indicating what she is all about which would be a kind of cam girl of some sort? One of her videos were embedded here. However the video did not show up. Indicating that YouTube are protecting specific content creators videos? There are no ads here on this blog. Nor is anyone making money. So a photo of a make-up less Pokimane will have to do. You know how she naturally looks?
Pokimane is the only person to swipe the "Pok" from the word Pokémon and not have to pay Nintendo a dime. Everyone else to pilfer, Nintendo ensured to get lawyers involved. Unless she has signed a YouTube deal with Nintendo?
Did you not know that Sony, PlayStation, Microsoft and other companies sign deals with YouTubers to promote video games? That is what they do now. For example a YouTuber who barely got any views was given a PlayStation 5 by Sony for signing a contract to continuously post Sony games. And this person in question only raked in 10K-20K views. You know not that usual 200K+ views or 100000K+ views that you'd expect when it comes to promoting something. But yeah Sony and Nintendo were really cashing out. Nintendo are known to be very strict.
Back to Pokimane. They claim that she was that powerful that at one point was making a lot of false copyright strikes against rival channels in January of 2020. However in December of 2020, false DMCA claims were then filed against Pokimane. We're just giving people a little insight onto what people like her are about. An example would be that she is one of the more popular social media streamers? Of course this will not last forever but as of now she is quite known.
If you were to search her name you would see a lot of vulgar terms they use for her. We will not repeat what we've read about her. Seems very slanderous. They claim she is one of those many "wannabe beauty" guru types, only she doesn't do beauty, she is a gamer girl. And so she and many other notable people like her decided that they too wanted to become VTubers.
It is claimed that people like Pokimane were trying to take away the future for Twitch users. As Twitch were busy promoting her VTube video and she wasn't really doing anything in her video.
VTubers summed her up as having no personality and they also claimed that her VTube model is cheap, which upset the person who rigged it. The creator of her model stated that it took a month to create. Obviously some people are cold as ice, nasty individuals who thrive off the pain of others.
Of course many people dislike Pokimane, but she does have a large following which as stated all goes down to the way she looks. However they said if she took off her wig extensions and make-up it would be a total different story. Basically she's a gimmick. So she's selling herself. As many do. Don't blame her, a lot of people do this. They can also sell stuff while hiding behind an avatar. This has been proven, so don't try me. Cherie Pye don't play!
When it comes to Pokimane we would not consider her to be a VTuber. She's only copying the trend. Being already known to the public makes no sense why she would want to be a VTuber. She'd only really be taking up the room. And that is unfair to actual VTubers.
You know dedicated VTubers who are very popular? So hopefully she will return to what she normally does. Which is nothing much. A lot of us at Star Bright Stars admit that we would rather play video games ourselves than watch someone else.
We're not really going to go in on what we like. But Pippin has a relative who likes watching Dominican video gamer DashieGames. Dashie who does a lot of rapping and likes rap music, another "screamer" thankfully won't be VTubing anytime soon. He also makes it clear that YouTube is very strict as of 2021.
Websites and applications like TikTok, Twitch and YouTube lack a discovery search engine. Specially TikTok, as they made it clear that you are unable to see recently uploaded videos. Thus being unable to search for new content.
If people don't understand. Platforms today only care about making profit. Once upon a time platforms were paid by advertising revenues. But nowadays YouTube and other platforms are paying people to use their platform making YouTube, Twitch, Instagram, Facebook and many other brand companies basically the employers of these Tubers. And that is why these people are prominently featured worldwide on these applications.
Of course when it comes to TikTok there is obvious discrimination to hide the "ugly" people and a lot of "perverted" videos have surfaced as of 2021. Which in due time will be cracked down on if TikTok do not put a stop to those individuals in question.
When it comes to Tumblr, it is a vile website full of predators. The report buttons on there do not seem to work for some unknown reason. So accounts violating rules on Tumblr are free to continue to violate. They censored the website but left all of the predators on there. The porn ban on Tumblr did not last and those people are "secretly" still posting vile and vulgar things and preying on the vulnerable on that website. Tumblr is definitely not the place for VTubing.
A warning is that if you try to VTube on Tumblr you will be unable to control the perverts and predators on the website that interact with you. This is bad, specially if a VTuber is 18 or under. As there have been the odd few aspiring VTubers out there who are 16. And this is a fact, only they often mask themselves as 18+ in age.
With all the shadow banning and censoring on social media it really makes it hard for new and upcoming people to get to where they want to be. But if they are able to break the barrier then nothing can stop them and they will succeed. Trust and believe that there will be a lot more controversy when it comes to the VTube world. All we have to do is sit back and watch.
